Maryann Burns

Maryann is a hands-on strategy, operations and program management leader who is adept at helping clients execute technology and organization transformation initiatives. She has more than 20 years of experience in operational IT strategy and project and organization management strategy, in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors.

Having held a variety of roles in IT, operations, and data management organizations, Maryann is particularly skilled at driving complex challenges through to solutions by providing strategic direction, ensuring deliverables are met and managing project timelines.

She has a deep, broad-based background in stabilizing technology operations (portfolio management, financials, vendor management, project execution), leading PMOs (Project Management Offices) and executing technology and organizational transformations.

Her most recent experience includes helping a major area consulting firm with their strategic vendor management initiative. She has also led an IT transformation initiative for a major global corporation, and spearheaded the implementation of an operating and managed services model for a global insurance group which generated multi-million-dollar savings.

Maryann is especially passionate about helping the underserved, particularly the homeless, and currently sits on the board of Journey Home, a homelessness advocacy organization in Hartford, CT. She also volunteers at her hometown food pantry, the Plainville Community Food Pantry.

She holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from Bryant University; an Advanced Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University; and a Project Management Certificate from Boston University.
