Cheryl has over 30 years of experience in engineering, production and operations management from CBS, Inc. She is a Media Operations Leader who supports stakeholders by improving the efficiency of their value chain. She asserts exceptional independence and focus to the intelligent management of operations processes. She enhances business processes and executes projects that motivate team members to achieve an optimal outcome. Cheryl is adept at strong communication and collaboration.
Cheryl was instrumental in moving CBS News to the digital era. She managed and contributed to projects to update the central tape playback & editing facilities, and the control rooms of 60 Minutes and 48 Hours to HD digital systems. She led and coordinated projects to update 60 Minutes and other broadcasts to virtual & augmented reality graphics and contributed to the transition of graphics to state-of-the-art technology operated from New York facilities with monitor walls in the new studio in Washington D.C.
Cheryl is dedicated to public service to her community, providing leadership, technical and marketing support to several nonprofit organizations. She actively supports youth through mentoring, exposing them to opportunities resulting from pursuing an education and career in a STEM-related field. She is passionate about helping others adapt to new technology. Cheryl is the principal and founder of Cherwill Designs & Events, a company focused on technology & creativity, offering operations & production support, virtual and in-person event planning and digital marketing.
